Indianapolis, Indiana
Jordan Audio Consultants were contracted to design a new audio system for this existing structure. The time constraint only allowed one week for the study, engineering and design work to be completed. The project was put out to bid to several area audio contractors. When the system was complete Jordan Audio returned to inspect and calibrate the system. We also led a 4.5 hour training class for the churches sound system operators.
The Chapel Rock Christian Church, Indianapolis, Indiana is a 1700 seat facility that was built in 1980. The worship center was
remolded last fall. This included new carpet, pews, wall treatments, draperies,
rebuilt stage, sound, lights and video projection.
The existing audio system was about 10 years old with a few pieces that were a few years older. Many components of the old system were reassembled into the new system. The JBL horns and drivers from the old cluster were reassigned to the balconies. The JBL woofers from the old cluster were reassigned to new cabinets for the new stereo music portion of the system.
Control Booth -- onsole
Twelve channels of dbx compression is available to be inserted in the console signal chain as needed. The effects processor is Alesis (with a Lexicon to come soon.) Playback includes both CD and cassette tape.
The amplifiers are all Crown; some old some new. The main system and stereo system processing is handled by the Rane 2x6 digital processor. The monitor system processing is handled by dbx 1/3 octave equalizers with limiters.
Amplifier Rack -- Top Section
The existing metal equipment rack was modified and reused. Sorry we can't show you the interconnection wiring. We can't get a camera in behind the rack to take a good picture.
Amplifier Rack -- Bottom Section
This installation was completed by IRC Audio an audio system contractor located in Indianapolis. They had a difficult task and rose to the occasion.
Sub Woofer
