Project:
This was a new facility converting a former Walmart into a church house
with media projects in four different rooms.
Auditorium: sound reinforcement, video
projection, and acoustics for the new 850 seat auditorium that will expand to
1350 seats in the future. It can also expand with a 400 seat balcony when the
need arises. Chapel: sound reinforcement for this 200 seat room.
Fellowship Hall: sound reinforcement for this 600 seat room.
Teen Center: portable sound system.
The congregation decided not to complete any of the acoustic treatment
plans. These systems were built by
Jordan Audio at the request of the leaders in the congregation.
The
auditorium project also included interfacing the congregation's existing Allen
organ with the new sound system. All
the organist's are very happy. We
were told it is the first time in 23 years they have been able to hear
themselves play without overpowering the congregation.

Project: This well
established congregation needed to update a system that had been neglected for a
number of years. The 300 seat auditorium, built in the 20's presented
several challenges. Jordan Audio engineered and designed the system and an
acoustic treatment plan and guided volunteers in the congregation with the
installation.
In the spring Jordan Audio
assisted the congregation with the upgrade of the system in their fellowship
hall/gymnasium. Travis, the churches soundman, is very happy with all the
changes.

Project:
Phase One of a new campus. Phase
one included an oversized gym-a-torium with a permanent stage and temporary
seating for 850. Jordan Audio
completed the sound reinforcement system engineering and design working closely
with Dave Porter to help the congregation assemble a system that met all their
needs, staying within their budget. The system was built by a regional sound
contractor. Jordan Audio inspected and calibrated the system, then assisted the
music minister with the necessary training.
We have recently completed
the first part of Phase One - the Teen Youth Center. Three additional
system will be completed within a few months.
These
upcoming projects include a children’s
theater, a children's playground, and
a large commons area with both video and audio.

Project:
This 2000 seat project included the engineering, design and supervision
for construction of the core of a sound reinforcement system in the multi
purpose building in 1991. The
budget was very limited, but high quality was maintained.
When additional funds became available in 2001, the system was reworked,
expanded, updated and finished. Additional
modifications were completed in the summer of 2006. The
work was completed by Jordan Audio supervising campus personal and a couple of
alumni working as volunteers.

Project: The congregation has out
grown the 1600 seats on the main floor and has recently complete 400 additional seats
in the previously unused balcony. Part
of this expansion includes adding the video production tools to allow for Image
Magnification (Imag). Jordan
Audio engineered and designed the camera, control, and projection needs to
provide for this enhancement. The
in house technical director is assembled the system with volunteers from the
congregation.
Currently
new systems are being built for several rooms in both new construction and
remodeled spaces in the current building. Jordan
Audio created engineering and design documents for six audio and
four video projection systems for the building expansion.

Since 1998 Jordan Audio has been retained as the Technical Director for
the annual convention. The meeting has grown from an average attendance of
3000 in 1998 to more than 6500 in Peoria 2004. The
2006 meeting in Indianapolis is anticipated to have close to 10,000 in
attendance. The Tech Directors responsibilities include stage layout, arranging for sound, lighting,
video projection, Image
magnification, and stage direction for a different facility each year.
The scope of work also includes coordinating with stage hands,
riggers, electricians and
assembling the volunteers who aid in running the systems.

THE
ENGINEER-
Gary
Jordan is a detail-oriented Audio
Engineer with a keen eye on the ‘Big Picture’ who has worked with sound,
lighting, staging and projection
since 197
8. His
talent and passion towards this turned into a full time career in 1988 when he
started Jordan's Stormy Banks Productions.
His
training includes engineering and midi courses at Full Sail Center for the
Recording Arts in Winter Park, FL and Audio Design and Calibration courses with
Synergetic Audio Concepts (SynAudCon) in Greenville, IN. He also worked more
than three years as Senior Design Engineer for a regional sound contractor in
Indiana before stepping out on his own.
Gary

gathering of Christians from around the world to promote World
Missions. The 2007 convention will be held in Cincinnati, Ohio November

THE
COMPANY-
From
its beginning in Kokomo, Indiana, to its current operation based in
Joplin, Missouri, Jordan Audio Consultants has been raising the bar for
performance-oriented sound, video and lighting systems found in churches across
the Midwest. Started in 1992, Jordan Audio Consultants was formed to assist
churches with their growing media system needs, as well as optimizing their
current systems. Offering Design and Consultation Services without the
influence of selling the equipment has proven advantageous to the numerous
church leaders, contractors and architects that Jordan Audio has worked together
with. Now, in its 16th year, Jordan Audio Consultants is going
strong and projecting a very bright future.
THE
PHILOSOPHY-
A
great system is based upon quality parts and assembled with an attention to
details. "It's not just about the gear, it's about the systems."
Keeping the 'Big Picture' is focus while considering the room acoustics,
electrical needs, aesthetic concerns, safety issues, operators' experience, and budgets are all
important to any system. Through experience, asking the right questions,
testing and specifying equipment that meets a high standard of performance aids
in keeping every system performing at its best for many years.
Our
audio systems focus on the intelligibility of the spoken word, the emotionalism
of music, and the intimacy of dramatic presentations.
