The Finished Lighting System
The lighting system is elaborate, and full of compromises. This is a gymnasium with a stage, so we are always concerned about sporting events and flying balls. So, we had to place some of the lighting fixtures in less than ideal locations.
These
ellipsoidal fixtures are all the way across the room from the stage in order to
keep them "somewhat" away form flying balls.

The key lights (left) and well placed above the side the stage. The Tormentors (right) are a wee bit forward of ideal, but they work well close to the structural beam.
As a disclaimer, the electrician didn't want to do to much extra conduit work so he just dropped cables thru the ceiling grid to feed most of the fixtures. We agree that it doesn't look to good, but they are working well.

These scoops allow us to wash the rear wall of the platform in three different colors to help enhance the mood of the worship assemblies. The system has 24 2400 watt ETC dimmers and a 24 fader, 24 sub group NSI lighting control console interconnected by DMX 512.

The cross of light is created with a short throw ellipsoidal fixture to the upper right. A different cross is available from the upper left.
